Lurashell Apollo circa 1967
The Fibreglass moulded seat was a breakthrough in design... It was the sixties - space travel, new ideas and new materials.
The Lurashell furniture company used cutting edge techniques and innovative design to produce some of the most iconic chairs of the time.
The Apollo chair was part of the planet suite - it evoked the space age where Austen Powers lurked and lounged.
Renewed and recovered in Bute Heathered Tweed. It was originally.... orange fur?
